Biography
Ira Didenkulova completed two PhD degrees: in Fluid Mechanics, Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University (2006) and in Civil Engineering, Tallinn University of Technology (2008). In 2013 she defended Doctor of Science Degree in Oceanography in P.P.Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, Moscow. She has published more than 70 papers in reputed journals. I.Didenkulova was awarded Plinius Medal by EGU (2010) and L'Oreal-UNESCO fellowship "For Women in Science" (2014). She is EGU Deputy President for Natural Hazards and Science Officer for Sea&Ocean Hazards. I.Didenkulova is an editorial board member for Nat. Hazards Earth Syst. Sci., J. Ocean Eng. Mar. Energy, Earth Syst. Dynamics.
