Biography
Dr Mehdi Nazarinia is an assistant professor of Fluid Mechanics and Renewable Energy at Heriot-Watt University (HWU), Dubai. He is specialised in experimental fluid dynamics and aerodynamics of heavy vehicles in particular. He has finished his PhD in Fluid Mechanics in 2010 at Monash University, Australia. He was working in Monash Wind Tunnel and as postdoctoral fellow at the University of Melbourne before joining HWU. He also has MSc and BSc in Aerospace Engineering. For the past four years since he joined HWU he has started carrying out researches on renewable energy and in particular solar energy harness through dual-axis solar collectors. At the moment he is the Mechanical Engineering programme coordinator and is involved in various industrial projects in the UAE in the field of Solar Energy. He has published in more than 25 reputable journals so far.
