Biography
Dr. Mikhail Shashkov has completed his PhD at the age of 25 years from Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics, Moscow (Russia) and obtained Doctor of Science degree from Moscow State University at the age of 37. In 1994 he has moved to US. He is Scientist 5 and Fellow at X-Computational Physics Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory and also SAIM Fellow. He is expert in numerical methods for high-speed multi-material flows. He has published more than 200 papers and associate editor of SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis.
